The wedding, event and hospitality industry is an exciting field to be in. Not only is it rewarding, but it’s rapidly growing both nationally and internationally. There is a growing need for professionally trained wedding consultants, corporate event planners, facility coordinators and church coordinators. In response to this growing need, we are so pleased to extend our two-part program to Military Spouses through the Career Advancement Program, provided by the Department of Defense.
We understand the challenges of starting a new career, studying and possibly raising a family. This two-part program is designed to accommodate your needs, giving you flexibility, yet providing you with a robust training and Continuing Educational Program to ensure you are successful.
Part I Home Study Program
Part II Continuing Education
Part I - Home Study Program
The Home Study Program is currently accepting new student applications. This program offers you the flexibility to study at your own pace in the comfort of your home. You have 3 months to complete the course which includes a video series of instructional DVDs and the signature ACPWC workbook binder.
The video series provides an intensive 4 or 5 days of training by a top industry trainer. Our trainers are seasoned and experienced in planning high-end weddings and currently run a thriving business. You will benefit from their shared experiences and by watching the class interact with questions, real life answers, tips and techniques. You’ll be guided step-by-step through the ACPWC workbook on how to start up, conduct and run a business. You’ll also benefit from information on how to interact with potential brides, create organizational charts, contracts and market your services.
Upon satisfactory completion of the Home Study Course, graduating students will receive their first level of achievement: “Certificate of Completion”.
Part II - Continuing Education Program
The ACPWC provides a robust Continuing Education Program to new graduating students. The Continuing Education Program is included for the first year and is a vital component in your success.
- Continuing Education: Online access to webinars on the latest training in sales, marketing, internet marketing including social media, wedding planning tips and trends from industry professionals.
- Mentorship: Graduating students will have the opportunity to be mentored by a professionally trained and Certified Wedding Consultant.
- Hands-On Experience: *Gain the hands-on experience needed by shadowing and assisting a professionally trained wedding consultant.
- Legal Support: 1 year of access to a team of attorneys to help legally protect your business and family. Available in most states of U.S. and Canada only.
- Industry Credibility: Associations provide professionals and standards
- Level of Advancement: After completing your first year you will be eligible to apply for your Professional title.
- Client Referrals: Client referrals from other ACPWC members.
- Networking: Meet and build relationships with other business and event professionals to support your business, client events and weddings.
- Seminars and Workshops: *Live events hosted by the ACPWC including vendor presentations, exposure to cutting edge tools and information to support your business.
- Tours: *Professionally coordinated and chartered tours provide access to venues of all kinds, from unique to elite. You’ll be exposed and educated to the possibilities of what each venue can offer your clients in quality and style.
- Relationships: Build priceless relationships with other students and members while building industry credibility.

Tuition: Tuition for the Home Study Course including Continuing Education is $1,995. This 2 part program is already approved and scholarship funds are available through the Department of Defense Military Spouse Career Advancement Account and Financial Assistance. (MyCAA Program)
To secure your enrollment, simply request funding for the ACPWC, code #12009 and follow the instructions “Steps for Applying” on the website www.MilitaryOneSource.com. After requesting funds, fill out and submit an ACPWC Enrollment Form which you can print out from the website: www.ACPWC.com. Course materials are shipped when payment and enrollment form are received.
Advanced Education Program
After receiving your “Certificate of Completion” and completing your first year in the Continuing Education Program, you will have the opportunity to advance in level, title and status. The ACPWC provides two additional industry recognized levels of achievement: “Professional” and “Certified”. Through the continuing education system you will have access to additional benefits providing you with more exposure and bigger opportunities.
