Affiliate Membership Program

The ACPWC is pleased to announce our new Affiliate membership program. We invite you to join our membership association. This opportunity is for those consultants who have already completed a course, but do not belong to an association. We encourage you to join us. Our association is for Wedding Consultants and Event Planners only, allowing us to concentrate on the specific needs of consultants. Belonging to our association will increase your business and media exposures, provide credentials and credibility, and a continuing education support system.

Members can network and freely discuss concerns, develop marketing strategies, and exchange ideas. The ACPWC assists you with your business needs by providing business tools and services.  Our advanced training course, meetings, tours and conferences, provide members a continuing education support system.

Other benefits include:  Free website exposure, marketing, access to partnerships, legal council, insurance personalized for your business needs, and opportunities for add on sales. We also provide exclusive partnerships, special discounts for events and conferences along with business services.

The ACPWC Affiliate Member Program is designed for wedding consultants who are providing services to brides on a professional level that desire to be part of an active community of professional and certified wedding consultants.  The ideal candidate for this program is someone who has not completed the ACPWC certificate training but has a wedding consulting business.

The eligibility criteria for the Affiliate Membership Program are as follows:

  1. 5 Letters of recommendations from industry professionals
  2. 10 Letters of recommendation from clients
  3. Interview with 3 ACPWC Board Members or Sponsorship by an ACPWC Member (preferred)
  4. Personal statement on why you would like to be a member of the ACPWC
  5. Payment of $200 (one time fee) includes ACWPC Instruction Manual and badge.
  6. Membership dues $225 for Active Membership
  7. Completed evaluation form
  8. List of any industry recognition, awards and/or accolades (preferred)

There are two possible levels in which a candidate may enter the association:

Level 1 – Professional

This candidate will enter the association at a “Professional” level and work towards “Certification” as they fulfill the specified requirements.

  • Has successfully operated his/her own wedding planning business for 5 or more years
  • Has received industry recognized awards and/or accolades for their service delivery (a plus)
  • Has been a member of another organization, but wants the experience offered by ACPWC membership
  • Has completed a certificate training course through another organization or school that doesn’t offer continued education opportunities.

Level 2 - Apprentice

This candidate will enter the association as an “Apprentice” and work towards their “Professional” title as they fulfill the specified requirements.  They will then follow the process to receive their “Certified” title.  The following requirements are needed to enter at the Apprentice level:

  • Has completed a certificate training course through another organization or school that doesn’t offer continued education opportunities.
  • Would like to successfully operate his/her own wedding planning business
  • Has a desire to be mentored and supported while building their business
  • May been a member of another organization, but wants the experience offered by ACPWC membership
